How can transactions start between us?
Generally, we need to go through the procedures below to
establish a transaction.
1. Customer RFQ;
2. Auto-mould quotation;
4. Negotiation on price, delivery time, payment terms,
etc;
3. Customer Purchase Order;
4. Auto-mould releases a Proforma Invoice to confirm the
Purchase Order;
5. Customer pays deposit according to the banking details
listed on Proforma Invoice.
What information do you need to make an
accurate quotation?
To work out an accurate quotation, we need information
listed as below.
|
RFQ for tooling |
RFQ for finished products |
Product information |
1. Dimension details;
2. Plastic material information;
3. Tolerance requirements;
4. Special Surface Requirements
(Generally, a 2D drawing & 3D model will be enough
to provide all information listed above.) |
Other information |
1. Cavity number;
2. Projected tool life;
3. Cold runner or hot runner?
4. Your preferred steel for cavity & core; (IF you
like, we can help you decide it.)
5. Requirements on mold base (Generally, we use LKM
standard mold base unless otherwise specified.) |
1. Estimated Annual Usage and Quantity per
Batch;
2. Requirements on secondary processing such as
printing, painting, engraving, assembly, etc.
|
What's about RFQ turnaround time?
We promise to provide tooling quotation and finished
parts quotation within 3 days and 4 days respectively.
But, if time permits, we also provide same-day quotation
upon request.
What's about tooling lead time?
It depends on the size and complexity of the specific
tool. We will specify it in specific quotation.
Are you accredited to some quality
certifications?
We have three plants.
Plant #1 is QS 9000 & ISO 9001:2000 certified to
accommodate requirements in automotive industry.
The other 2 plants are ISO 9001:2000 certified.
What are your payment terms and delivery
terms?
Generally, we prefer FOB Shenzhen term but request
Ex-works terms for low production order amounted less
than US$1,500.00.
For tooling, you are supposed to pay 50% deposit with
Purchase Order; 30% mid-payment upon submission of T1
samples and 20% balance upon delivery before delivery or
before production run in AUTO MOULD facility.
For molding parts, you are supposed to pay us 50%
deposit with Purchase Order and 50% balance upon
approval before delivery.
Can you help us with shipping?
Yes, we can. As a matter of fact, it will save you money
if shipping is arranged from our side, whether it is
door to door or port-to-port.
We are working well with several freight forwarders.
They have no problem with whether door-to-door or
port-to-port service.
But, we are supposed to afford all the shipping cost
since, unless otherwise agreed, our transaction will be
based on FOB Shenzhen terms.
How can you make sure that the molds you
make can fit our molding machines?
Frankly speaking, it is an easy job. Generally, we ask
our customers for a copy of molding machine
specifications before mold design. With these
specifications, we can never make mistake with mold
size, K.O pattern, locating ring and sprue bushing
sizes, clamping methods, etc.
Are you sure that we can find proper
replacement components whenever needed?
Take it easy! Here, in China, there are many
suppliers who can supply components equivalent to these
in your market. We can purchase whatever desired
components from them.
It will be of great help if you can let us know what
standard is prevalent in your market whether it is INCH
or METRIC.
But, of course, we can help you out even if you don't
know much about it. Having severing overseas market for
many years, we know what standard components are
prevalent in your area whether you are in North America,
Europe, Australia or New Zealand, etc.
What kinds of molds will you supply?
We have three mold making plants, which will supply a
wide variety of molds.
Mold size
We can supply molds with length measuring from as small
as 100 mm up to as big as 2,500mm.
Mold Life
We are ready to supply mold with life from as short as
several hundreds cycles to as long as one million shots.
How can I keep our confidential
information from being disclosed?
We are always keeping high standard of Business Ethics.
Generally, we sign a Non-disclosure Agreement with our
customers upon request. We will handle any information
from our customers in strict confidence whether it is
for quote purpose or for tooling purpose.
We are concerned about the mold steel.
Could you please let me know something about it?
First of all, I can ensure you that most of popular mold
steels are available in China. In addition to some good
Chinese steels, we are confident that it is an easy job
for us to choose steel suiting your molds.
If you have your own choice, tell us and we will go to
find out it or, at least, equivalent grade as requested.
And, also, we are ready to help if you leave the
choice to our discretion.
Generally, mold life and plastic type decide which steel
is used. Sometimes, special features, such as slender
ribs, etc, may also affect the choice of steels. We know
the ropes. Trust us!
What's about hot runner?
In theory, we are able to get whatever hot runner
systems as requested whether it is DME, HASCO, HUSKY,
INCOE, SYNVENTIVE, MOLD-MASTERS or MASTIP, etc.
However, if possible, we suggest YUDO as an alternative
to them. It is said that Yudo provides the best
Price-Performance ratio. In addition, they have global
after-sales service network.
How could I verify the tooling?
First of all, you are warmly welcome to our factory to
verify the mold trial run.
If you are not available to watch the trial run, I will
send you trail samples together with dimension
inspection report, molding conditions as well as video
to show you sampling scene.
Is it possible for us to change the mold
after trial run?
No problem! We will make any modifications as requested.
The minor changes will be free of charge. But, we are
supposed to charge you for major changes to cover the
modification cost.
I have heard a lot of stories about
failure in sourcing in China. What's your opinion on it?
Personally, I think it is caused mostly by inadequate
understanding between two sides. For example, almost all
molds run in China use LKM Mold base made of SC50 steel
equivalent to AISI1050 or DIN1.1730 while, in the USA,
AISI 4130 (similar to P20) or even AISI400 series are
widely used for high production. If it is not addressed
beforehand, tragedy will come up.
We paid special attention on this issue. Most of our
salespersons have enough engineering background, which
enables them to learn what our customers exactly need.
It will help prevent failure from the start.
